- TECHNICIAN WILL DO A SAFETY INSPECTION. FOUND THERMOSTAT HOUSING LEAKING WHEN PRESSURIZED. OUTLET PIPE FROM WATER PUMP LEAKING NOT SEATED PROPERLY. UPPER RADIATOR HOSE LEAKING, CLAMP NOT SEATED OR TIGHTEN CORRECTLY. COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR LEAKING ALSO. TECHNICIAN PROCEEDED TO PERFORM A BLOCK TEST AND IT PASSED. RECOMMENDATIONS 1. RE POSITION HOSE CLAMP FULLY SEAT IT AND TIGHTER TO SPECS. 2. REPLACE THERMOSTAT AND SEAL COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR. 3. THERMOSTAT HOUSING GASKET REPLACE 4. VACUUM BLEED COOLANT SYSTEM 5. RE POSITION AND SEAT FULLY COOLANT OUTLET WATER PUMP PIPE. 6. RE TEST COOLING SYSTEM FOR ANY OVERHEATING AFTER BLEEDING SYSTEM AND INSTALLING PARTS AND CORRECT COOLANT LEVELS. NOTE: TECHNICIAN DROVE VEHICLE FOR 10 MILES AND GAUGE STAYED AT THE PROPER OPERATING TEMPERATURE NO MORE OVERHEATING ISSUES.
